In Branford, Connecticut Bella was surrendered on Thursday by her owner to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter. Too often the excuses for dumping dogs at animal shelters are the same; too much work, can’t pay for the training or don’t have the time to give the dog what he needs.
This is what happens when a dog is surrendered to a shelter too many times.
This is her shaking, refusing to make eye contact, refusing to eat and too scared to move from one spot.
She has completely given up, and this is just three days after her owner left her and walked away.
Check out her video:
Collectively everyone’s heart breaks when they see Bella and her video, but we can all make a difference. Share her plight with approved rescues, friends, family and social media contacts. Encourage people not to shop, but to adopt their next best friend. Share Bella’s picture and help her find someone who will treasure her, love her and be with her for her entire life.
“If you are adopting an animal, it should be considered a lifetime commitment.”
