Last week, two therapy pigs were viciously beaten to death in Bullitt County, Kentucky. As reported by WWLP News, the sadistic act took place last Thursday at Sunnie Howell’s property while she was away from home with her husband.
According to Fox News, the violent death of Honey and Pigrawk are the latest in a string of violent attacks on animals in the area. Recently, a cat was found with its feet tied together in the middle of a road, a dog was repeatedly stabbed and a Koi pond was poisoned – all of the cruel incidents took place in the vicinity of the deadly pig attack.
Howell is heartbroken by the violent attack on her pigs, and her lone surviving pig, Gypsy, is broken inside as well. It was Gypsy’s parents who were attacked and killed…and the horrific incident took place in front of Gypsy. Howell told Wave 3 News:
“She stays depressed when she’s out there by herself. She hides underneath the house sometimes. If we get people out she’ll walk around and she’ll go lay down and sit down by the grave sites where her mom and dad are.”
Anyone with information about any of these animal cruelty cases is asked to contact the Bullitt County Sheriffs Office at (502) 543-2514.
