What happened to Charlotte? At the North Central Los Angeles City Shelter, she shakes uncontrollably. Is this the best we can do for our loyal friends? Barely four-years-old, her paw indicating a deformity and so in need of rescue, volunteers are telling her story.

Check out her video:

“Posted video of her outside kennel two days ago. This is her hiding in her cubby today. Attempting to build trust. Charlotte #A1878825 another terrified dog. About four years old. Stray. Paw deformity?,” animal advocate Tom Kiesche posted on Facebook hoping to bring awareness to this dog’s serious plight.

The North Central Shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. Sunday 11 am to 5 pm. (Closed on Mondays). All North Central animals come spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and current on all their shots (including rabies). North Central LA City shelter; 3201 Lacy St., Los Angeles, CA; 213-485-5767.
