In Rajasthan, Udaipur India, a sick street puppy hid inside of a plastic bag. When Animal Aid Unlimited were called to help, no one had expected the puppy’s reaction. The moment his rescuer touched the bag, the tiny pooch, dubbed Jumper screamed in pain.

Rescuers needed to gain his confidence; the puppy’s eyes cried with distrust and agony, but he was so very hungry, he stuck his head out of the plastic bag to eat. Slowly, he was able to be coaxed out with biscuits; tragically the moment he was touched he cried out in agony. He had a severe case of mange and a deep wound on his hip that had been causing him the shooting pain he felt every time he moved.

Veterinarians and staff named the puppy Jumper and were able to wrap him in a blanket and carry him back to the veterinarian hospital.

“This dear little boy was in so much pain and agitation, his worried eyes never relaxed for even a moment in the first several days after rescue,” the organization posted on their social media page.

The deep wound in his hip was treated and everyday Jumper’s healing continued. Medicated baths soothed his itchy skin as well as the daily cleansing of his deep hip wound. For six weeks, Jumper received medicine and care.

  1. I thank God for the people who work for Animal Aid in India – they do amazing work it’s so few resources and it’s obvious just how much they genuinely love each and every animal who cones into their care. Have a wonderful life little Jumper, whoever you find your furever home.
