Shepherd dumped by family, her friend was adopted and now she is a ‘death row’ dog

In June, a young dog, just two years of age, was dumped by her family at a busy animal control agency in California. The German shepherd, named Papa, was surrendered with her canine friend, who has since been adopted. Now Papa is alone and a “death row” dog.

Shortly after Papa was taken in at the shelter, a social networking Facebook page wrote:

PAPA🐾 German Shepherd owner surrender dumped on 6-29.💔 🚨Rescue Only cause she came in scared and just needs the right person to love her.💔 She’s stuck in the back of bldg 3 that’s blocked off. She was also dumped with a 4 yr old little dog named Haohao #A5295639 (Adopted) 😥 Kennels are full.

Now, Papa is on “48 hour notice,” which means that her time has nearly run out. Unfortunately, Papa is terrified and scared dogs are not available for general adoption. This young girl has been labeled “rescue only.” Will you please share Papa’s information and help her find a rescue group to take her in?
