Recently, a Richmond, Virginia, animal shelter took in a stray dog with a huge mass on her hip. The Richmond Animal Care and Control facility posted images of the dog’s tumor on August 5, and announced that her name will be “1 Hip, 2 Hip.”

Before 1 Hip 2 Hip underwent surgery to remove the mass, the animal welfare agency asked Facebook followers to guess the weight of the tumor – the person closest to the actual weight would receive a RACC tote bag. Days later, after the successful surgery, the shelter let followers know that the mass over seven pounds:

We have a winner! Or 2! The mass weighed 7.6 lbs! Pm us a screen shot of your guess if you said 7.6 and send us your address! 💕❤️💕

Now that 1 Hip 2 Hip has undergone a successful surgery, RACC is hopeful that she can find a loving home. No word on whether or not the mass was cancerous.
