In Columbus, Ohio, a small dog was found over the weekend with what appeared to be severe chemical wounds. Roaming the area near South Champion Avenue, the dog’s injuries cover nearly his entire body.

FIDO’s Companion Rescue Inc. stepped up on Monday to rescue the dog now dubbed Valor. His story is heartbreaking,

“He was found with what appears to be chemical burns over his body. This poor boy is in so much pain, but despite that he is allowing us to care for him and is appreciating the extra pats on his head, which is one of the few places on his body that isn’t affected,” the rescue group posted on Facebook.

Valor is currently on intravenous medication for his pain. He will undergo additional testing to help determine the severity of his condition. Donations are needed to help with Valor’s medical expenses. Please help by clicking the donate button, calling (216) 252-4500 to make a donation directly to our account or visit www.fidoscompanion.com.

An investigation to find the dog’s owner is currently underway.
