Senior dogs surrendered after owner died
Spread the love

Two senior dogs are in need of a new home after their owner died and they were surrendered to a busy California animal control agency. The plight of Aires and A-Keem, both Rottweilers, was posted to social media shortly after the dogs were taken in at the San Bernardino City Animal Control.

OWNER SURRENDER. OWNER DIED. DAUGHTER BROUGHT BOTH OF HER MOTHER’S DOGS TO THE SHELTER

Aires #A524515 (Surrendered with A-Keem #A327430, who is 12 1/2 years old and also a Rottweiler) Neither dog has a photo on PetHarbor. Still waiting for staff to get a photo of A-Keem, since both dogs are in isolation kennels.

It has been stated that the daughter of the dogs’ owner is unable to take the dogs in because she lives in an apartment where dogs are not allowed…will you please help this duo find a new owner? By simply sharing this article, you will aid both dogs in finding an owner, or a rescue group.

  1. I am absolutely heartbroken for these two precious treasures. Totally horrible to lose their person. Now they have lost their home AND perhaps each other or their own lives…… if they are not adopted together, or adopted at all, they will be euthanized…….
I promised my Dad on his deathbed that I would care for his dogs. It’s been 6 years and they are still with me and my family. I can’t imagine ever giving them up as they are my living links to my Dad…….

  2. This reminds me of my own situation. My best friend, who ” totally” loved her two cats, passed away. Her “feelingless” son IMMEDIATELY wanted the cats put down. After almost 100 failed contacts, although we had a dog, we decided to take in the cats. It is “amazing” what love can do! It is now six years later, and all of us are fine and SO happy we are ALL together. Guess some people aren’t capable of loving that much. Hope these beautiful dogs get the love they truly deserve! Their owner is watching from heaven and is probably “very” disappointed for now …
