Senior dog has lived her ENTIRE life at rural shelter

A senior dog, now 12 years of age, has lived her entire life at a rural shelter in southeastern Louisiana. The dog, named Penny, shared her kennel with another dog for the past ten years…recently that dog passed away and the people at the shelter don’t want Penny to wind up dying without a family of her own as well.

The shelter has provided information about this long-overlooked dog:

Penny is a 35 pound sweet girl. She had a kennel mate for 10 years who passed away a few months ago of old age. Penny now has a younger kennel mate. She has yet to meet a dog she couldn’t get along with. She’s a great dog who gets along with other dogs, cats, and people. She is doing great with potty training. If she is taken out, she goes potty outside. She’s a wonderful dog who has waited too long for a home.

There is no reason that this senior girl should still be homeless. She is dog and people friendly and she is fully vetted, including a recent dental cleaning.
