A senior dog in California has been cast aside like an old, unwanted chair. The 12-year-old dog, named Pickles, was taken to a busy animal control agency when his family moved, and now he is trying to make sense of his new surroundings.

On February 22, the Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, wrote:

They had him live for 12 years outside their home and then they moved and left him behind with a broken heart and completely confused. He needs help fast. Please SHARE for his life, he’s SO precious and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him.

Additional details:

My former family who owned me had to give me up because they were moving. But they said that I spend most of my time outdoors, but it’s not ideal. I seem to be good with small children. I have not been house-trained. I seem to get along well with dogs.

Local fosters please save this precious dog until adopter is found for him. An elderly dog should have been in a warm, loving home, not dumped by owners. Hope they prosecute them for animal abuse.

Bless this little lost one-how could they? If someone out of area can give him a home I am, sure that we can all contribute a little something to get him there – or even just pick him up and transport him!

It sounds like poor Pickles didn’t have much of a life to begin with but they moved and HAD to give him up? HAD to leave him behind? Why, he wasn’t cared about anyway, there was no HAD in this at all. I hope an pray this precious dog finally gets a loving family, He may be confused and heartbroken, but he has NO idea what a loving home is, please someone take him in and get him out of that kill shelter!
