Update 8/16/19: According to Petharbor, Rowdy has been adopted!

A senior dog, believed to be a victim of cruelty, is being held at a busy California animal control agency. Will the nine-year-old dog, Rowdy, ever know what it means to be loved? On Wednesday, a Facebook plea was issued on Rowdy’s behalf on the Saving Riverside Shelter Dogs page:

URGENT HELP NEEDED! When I was leaving the shelter the other day, staff stopped me and specifically asked if I could help network a dog named Rowdy who was relinquished to the shelter and listed “cruelty.” Rowdy is an underweight senior, you can see his spine 😥

The senior dog is described as mellow, and accepting of human kindness. Does anyone care about a senior mixed breed dog? Or will shelter visitors simply pass him by, in search of a younger, purebred dog? You can lend this boy a hand by taking a moment to network his adoption information. Networking saves lives!
