A reward is being offered following an act of cruelty which took place in Suffolk County, New York. According to the Suffolk County SPCA, an eight-week-old pit bull mix puppy was thrown out of a dark colored SUV on Wednesday morning.

The animal welfare agency reports that the incident happened on Route 25 near Calverton Cemetery in Riverhead; a witness reported that the vehicle was traveling eastbound at the time that the pup was tossed out.

The puppy survived the throw and was taken to a veterinary clinic for treatment. Now, the authorities want to find the person responsible. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-372-7722. A $3,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Details

A witness has reported that the New York license plate on the dark-colored SUV began with the letters TZR.
