In Chattanooga, Tennessee, a terribly injured dog suspected of having suffered traumatic injuries from dog fighting, was discovered in a garbage heap on the side of the road late last week. Sadly, the dog died from her injuries.
According to the McKamey Animal Center (MAC), the public’s help is needed to find the person(s) responsible for the heinous deed; a $6,000 [$1,000 from MAC, $5,000 from a donor] reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the guilty party.
“At a time when we give thanks for all we have we are saddened to post a story on abuse but we need the public’s help on a dog fighting case we are investigating. McKamey Animal Center is offering a $1000 REWARD for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of person or person’s responsible for the condition of this dog.”
The female pit bull was found along the 3400 block of Lightfoot Mill Road in the City of Chattanooga on November 18. The location has been popular with the abandonment of other dogs and appears to be a site for dog fighters to leave injured and deceased dogs after a fight.
