A series of sadistic crimes at property in Smith County, Mississippi, has prompted the offering of a large reward. One family has suffered the loss of multiple pet miniature pet donkeys, including one six-week-old baby, and they have no idea why their donkeys were targeted.

On the family’s fundraiser, the senseless crimes have been detailed:

We are raising money as a reward for information that leads to the arrest of some animal murderers. The person who shot our donkey last week came back and shot the rest. All three gut shot so they suffered horribly. I can’t share the other pictures because they are too graphic. They even shot the 6 week old baby in the BELLY. I cannot begin to tell you the pain this has cause our family.

Owner Callie West Evans told WLBT News, “We’re definitely concerned because if they can do that, what can they do next.”

The local sheriff’s department is hoping that a tip from the public will lead to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Smith County Sheriff’s Department at 601-782-4531. The reward has climbed to $7000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.
