A pup, just over a year of age, quivers in fear and confusion from inside of his kennel run at a loud, crowded California animal control facility. Marcus, a large, mixed-breed dog, has been at the Riverside County Animal Control – Riverside Shelter since October 27, and his time at the shelter is taking a toll.

A video, taken of Marcus inside of his kennel, reveals the fear this young dog is in – you can see his body shake as he waits for whatever fate is in his future.

Marcus is TERRIFIED. His body softly quivers & he jumps at the sound of other confused animals nearby. Marcus is barely 1, he is a baby, and he is scheduled to lose his life. We are all he has. RIVERSIDE, CA

  1. Totally heartbreaking……. I wish I could help this handsome furbaby…… sadly, my house, my Mom’s house, my cousins’…… are already overflowing with rescued furbabies……..

I can totally understand why this furbaby is so frightened: being in a shelter IS scary (& I am a human who fully understands the situation and am scared)…. I can imagine it’s far worse for a furbaby who doesn’t have human insight…….
