A heartless act of cruelty was caught on surveillance cameras outside of a Virginia animal shelter. The Friends of the Campbell County Animal Control posted images of a car caught on video on November 29 – the animal control agency explains what happened to Facebook followers:
We’ve been given the go-ahead to post these photos to see if anyone recognizes the vehicle or the parties involved in the abandonment of a dog at the Campbell County shelter on Friday night, November 29, at 8:16 p.m.
Adding:
The vehicle pulled directly to the pen, opened the trunk of the car, hauled the pregnant dog from the trunk, and dragged her to the fenced area, where she spent the night without shelter. She was discovered the morning of November 30.
A prior post states:
We’d like to identify the men responsible for driving this dog to the Campbell County Shelter under cover of darkness, pulling her out of the trunk of their car, and dragging her into the concrete fenced area where she lay unsheltered on concrete all night on Friday night.
The security cameras helped us see this much, but now we need identification of the parties involved. Do not assume that “Tilly” is their dog. She may have been stolen from a neighbor, or part of a marital or custody dispute, or delivered from another county where the shelter was not open admission and would not take her in. We do not know!
