Deputies in King County, Washington, shot and killed the man who stole a truck and a couple’s beloved dog. According to multiple sources, the situation unfolded on Monday afternoon outside of Black Diamond.

Monkey, a four-year-old poodle, was inside of Carl Sanders’ 2018 Ford Raptor truck on Friday afternoon when an opportunistic thief hopped inside and drove away from a Cenex gas station in Black Diamond. Surveillance video identified 36-year-old Anthony Chilcott as the suspect.

As reported by KIRO News, a King County deputy shot and killed the man who was driving the stolen Ford Raptor on Monday, shortly after noon. The identity of the deceased man has not been released.
