Police K9 killed

Police K9 killed while pursuing a robbery suspect

On Friday night, a K9 with the Greensboro, North Carolina, police department was killed while in pursuit of a robbery suspect. The dog, Rambo, was struck by a car on Friday evening and died a short time later from his injuries.

The Greensboro Police Department notified its Facebook followers of the K9’s death:

GPD lost a member of the family last night, Police K-9 Rambo. Rambo was a valuable member of the GPD team and will be missed. GPD will take time to honor K-9 Rambo next week.

A Tweet for the City of Greensboro reads:

Sad to report that GSO K9 Rambo crossed the rainbow bridge last night doing what he was known to do… protect and serve. Rambo was loyal, fierce, and loving!

Rest in peace Rambo.
