Police in Minnehaha County, South Dakota, are seeking information after a dead dog was found with zip ties around his neck. The Minnehaha County Sheriff issued a cryptic plea via Twitter on February 22:

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death of a dog. We are asking for your assistance in locating the owner(s). Please call 605-367-7000 with any information.

On February 25, the sheriff’s office released more details via Twitter:

The dog in the photo was located near the 7400 block of W Madison St. Sioux Falls, SD. The dog was found with zip ties around the neck. We are still asking for the public’s assistance in locating the owner(s). Please call the 605-367-7000 with any information or CrimeStoppers

Minnehaha County Capt. Josh Phillips is quoted in KSFY News:

“To us it seems very obvious that somebody wanted us to find the dog. Concerning that someone would do that to a dog.”

  1. Hope they find the vile monster who did this to this girl and the same and worse is done to him in jail. Inmates give justice for this sweet girl. We have more and more monsters in our country.
