A Pennsylvania man has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty resulting in the death of a dog in Hampden Township. Kenneth Miller Jr., 53, who had been standing in front of a tree with a gun, shot the dog in the left side of his face as the dog walked towards him.
According to Penn Live, the dog did not show any aggression towards the man. The entire incident was recorded on video by a police officer’s dashcam installed in his vehicle. Additional officers arrived and found the dead dog bleeding in a driveway.
“There was no indication that any domesticated animals or people were in danger of being attacked by the dog,” Hampden Township police reported.
An unloaded shotgun and pistol were seized from Miller and he was then placed under arrest.
Miller was released on $10,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 13.
Rest in peace innocent pup.
