In November, a handsome German shepherd was adopted from the Riverside County Animal Control – City of Colton facility in California. Since that time, the dog, named Rocko, has been back to the facility twice…on his most recent intake, his owners failed to come to retrieve him.
Now Rocko is in danger of losing his life. His “safe” period of stray holding time ended on May 29 and he could be put down for space issues at any time. Almost two weeks ago, the Facebook page which advocates for homeless dogs at this facility, wrote:
This boy was adopted in November and has been back to the shelter TWICE this month. He was on a microchip hold but his owners clearly decided they aren’t coming back for him. ★ ★
Status: YELLOW
Rocko is three years of age – a perfect age to join a family. Will you please take a moment to help Rocko find a loving (and committed!) new owner? German shepherds are highly intelligent and incredibly devoted to their people. Please share this article and help Rocko find someone who is worthy of his love.
