In Indianapolis, R&B singer Randy Etter needed to help his dog Gemini. Veterinarians told him that his dog needed life-saving surgery.

According to WnepNews, Etter didn’t have the money, but he was determined to raise the funds; after all Gemini was his best friend. He has just lost his day job while driving around veterinarian offices to get help. And with that, Etter listed his car online for sale.

Gemini had been suffering from an intestinal blockage.

“I’m sitting here watching TV, and I’m literally thinking he was dying that night. I knew I didn’t have the money for the surgery, but I knew in my mind that was what had to happen. I put my car up for sale for $1,000 less than what I was actually wanting to take for it,” Etter stated.

But even with a loan of $2,000 from a friend, it still wasn’t enough. That’s when a miracle crosse d Etter’s path. The S.O.A.R Initiative (Street Outreach Animal Response) were able to help and referred him to a veterinarian surgeon nearby. In addition, the group raised $3,000 from the community after posting the story on social media about Gemini and Etter’s willingness to make such sacrifices for his dog.

Surgery went well, and doctors pulled out a sock and parts of a plastic baby bottle. Etter said everything is now off the floor. Gemini is expected to make a complete recovery.
