At the North Central Shelter in California, a senior German shepherd was dropped off to be “put to sleep.” The city does not provide that service. Sadly, Rocky doesn’t seem to have been cared for – his neglect is heartbreaking.
“Rocky #A1911931 was brought to the shelter to be “put to sleep” …well the city doesn’t provide that service. So he has to stay in a kennel for a mandatory amount of days,” wrote animal advocate and shelter volunteer Tom Kiesche.
“I am hoping someone out there is able to hospice him for a short time. Give him some loves and a great life to go out with. Maybe you know somebody. Maybe you are somebody. Super sweet. Knows sit but obviously is not comfortable sitting.”
