Cruel teenagers in Dunkirk, France stuffed a kitten in the microwave, turned it on and posted the horrible footage online on social media SnapChat. In the published video, the teens can be seen closing the door on the kitten as it desperately cried and struggled to get out of the oven.
According to Ladepeche News, “the poor kitten struggles with all its might, screaming in pain,” wrote the Dunkirk Animal Protection Society (SPA). “It was a person, shocked by the video, who alerted the Dunkirk SPA.”
The SPA removed the post after the teens had been named and received death threats.
“Know that much of this information is totally false! The address provided regarding one of the teenagers is absolutely not his own but that of a poor lady living alone and having nothing to do with this story,” the rescue organization wrote.
“…We are not judges, no lawyers, no police … Justice must and will do its job!”
Fortunately the kitten has been rescued and already placed in a new home. A complaint against the teens for animal cruelty has been filed.

Hi Cheryl I love that you bring information about n that is needed to get out to the public. You doing this shows how big your heart is. I only have one recommendation, I think it would help to leave clear ways to get ahold of the people that are taking care of these animals that need help. I’ve tried to contact multiple people about fostering some of the animals you have written about but I never get a phone call or email in return and that’s if I can even find a contact address or number. That would be a big help because your messages about these animals is getting out there i just think there has to be a better way of connecting those who are ready to step up and help with those animals in need.

Thank you for the kind words. I include the contact information in most of the articles for cats and dogs who need help. In a particular article like this one, there is no contact as the case will be under investigation. Most of the dogs and cats are in shelters, and I have no control over when and if they respond. For the most part, interested people are encouraged to visit the shelter, ask for help on the links I provide or be patient and call the listed numbers/or email. Please bear with these people as most are volunteers and work very hard to save lives.
