Old shepherd needs help
Spread the love

An old German shepherd, 12 years of age, has somehow lost his family…recently winding up in a busy California animal control facility where he waits to be saved. The senior shepherd, dubbed Ben, has a body showing the signs of age, but his heart is still full of love.

Two days ago, the Friends of Moreno Valley Shelter Animals issued a plea on Ben’s behalf:

I’m an old man who needs some help. I use to have a name and a home but now… now I don’t have anything and I can’t remember what my name is.

Adding:

I’m older and my hips aren’t what they use to be… neither is my eye sight or hearing but my heart…. My heart still has as much love to give as when I was a young pup. I don’t know what happened, I got lost and all turned around.

Ben was taken in at the shelter on August 31 and his family, if he has one, never came to get him. A shelter is no place for this old boy…he is undoubtedly scared and confused, and his aging body could use the help of a soft bed and a caring owner.

Will you please help Ben find someone to care for him for the rest of his days?

  1. I hope Frosted Faces or Leave No Paws Behind or another rescue group can save Ben. He deserves to be treated as a beloved family member for however long a time he has left and not die in the shelter alone, afraid and (worst of all) unloved…….
