Surrendered by family, hidden in quarantine

An old boy, arthritic and suffering from untreated medical issues, is hidden away in quarantine at a busy California animal control agency after being surrendered by his family. According to the Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, Prince’s owner surrendered the 11-year-old dog because they could not afford his medical care.

Prince’s shelter notes explain:

He is a gentle guy who is so confused after his family left him at the Shelter after 11 years because they said he’s sick and they can’t afford his care. Please SHARE for his life, he’s SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him. Thanks!

#A4670906 My name is PRINCE and I’m an approximately 11 year old male Amer. Bulldog. I am not yet neutered. I have been at the Carson Animal Care Center since 8/20. I will be available on 8/20. You can visit me at my temporary home at C114. My former family who owned me for had to give me up because they couldn’t afford the care I need.

Nobody is rushing to an animal shelter to adopt an old dog with health issues. Without the assistance of networking strangers, Prince will quietly slip away and become nothing more than a forgotten statistic.

Please share Prince’s adoption information to help him find a reputable rescue group to take him in for the remainder of his life.

  1. WTF is wrong with people??? Most of us want our furbabies to be with us for as long as possible and we savor each and every day our precious treasures are with us……

This so called family who gave up Prince has reserved places in Hell waiting where they will burn forever for their cruelty…… They should have contacted the many groups that offer financial assistance for vet bills………

I hope Frosted Faces or Leave No Paws Behind or another rescue group can save Prince. He deserves to be treated as a beloved family member for however long a time he has left and not die in the shelter alone, afraid and (worst of all) unloved…….

  2. I notified Frosted Faces. Would someone please contact No Paws Left Behind? I don’t have Facebook, so I couldn’t send them a message. Thank you for your help in Saving Prince.
