No one knows why Guava is terrified but he is scheduled to die today

At the Corpus Christi Animal Care Services in Texas, Guava, a one-year-old male Labrador retriever mix is terrified of people. He is scheduled to be humanely euthanized on Tuesday if no one can help him.

“God only knows what has happened to this beautiful boy to fill him with such terror,” a volunteer posted on the Focus on Furever Facebook page hoping to find someone to help.

“We have sat with him for three weeks and we’re finally able to get him out today. (Saturday) It took about 20 minutes for him to let us even touch him.”

Volunteers were then able to take photos of the beautiful dog.

“We got him in the studio and finally, he let us pick him up and put him on the table for pics. He is terrified of people. We brought in the dog he came in to CCACS with and Guava was so glad to see his friend. We got him to walk on a leash outside. He is beautiful. He is perfect. He deserves a chance.”
