Newly adopted puppy crawled home with arrow in her head

In Calhoun, South Carolina, a five-month-old puppy recently adopted, crawled home on Tuesday evening with an arrow in her head. Nikki Sauer, the practice manager at Paws & Claws Animal Clinic  and avid animal advocate supplies some of the heartbreaking details:

“Tonight a family was at home enjoying their evening. Their sweet rescue pup who they recently adopted from the shelter was found on the porch with an arrow in her head. They immediately rushed her to us. We stabilized her and removed the arrow. She is alert and comfortable.”

The puppy, named Loca, is owned by a police officer who have surveillance cameras on their property. It is hoped the culprit(s) can be identified.

“If you know anyone in the Calhoun, SC area that may know something about how Loca was shot please reach out and help capture the psychopath that did this to her,” Nikki posted on her Facebook page. “She deserves justice! We have to stop letting things like this go without outrage and hurt. Dogs lives matter too.”

Since Tuesday evening, the photos of Loca have been shared more than 11,000 times.

Poor pup, stupid owners! I don’t care what you do for a living, or how many cameras you have on your property. This is what can, and does happen when your dogs are allowed to run loose, with no supervision!

What was the dog doing outside without the family members watching her? People just don’t think and you would hope that a police officer would think more than most people since they see the dark side of human behavior. Shame on them!

No longer is it safe to leave your dog outside in their own enclosed yard unattended. There are crazy monsters who think nothing of doing stuff like this.
