In Centennial, Colorado, a neighbor’s Ring doorbell captures a man kicking his dog. The incident occurred earlier this week at the Olde Mill Condos near Arapahoe Road.
According to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, animal control officers were called after the Good Samaritan sent the Ring videos to them. Richard Johnston, 44, has been charged with animal cruelty.
The Denver Channel reports Will Saggau, whose Ring camera caught the alleged cruelty, reported the disturbing incident on Thursday morning, and by the same evening, authorities had located Johnston and the dog. The animal protection organization stated the video was enough evidence to proceed with an investigation.
The dog, named Forty, has been examined by a veterinarian and had no injuries, however he remains under observation. The dog will remain in custody until a judge makes a decision as to the dog’s future.

Thank God it happened in Colorado and even more thanks that this family KNOWS you do NOT BEAT an defenseless dog, ESPECIALLY for offense of “just being a dog”. I hope the judge throws EVERY charge he can at this guy, because ANYONE with eyes and a brain can see that he does this ALL THE TIME to this poor dog. I pray someone finds an opportunity to met out some “eye for an eye” reactions to this VILE THUG!
