A Terry, Mississippi man has been charged with animal cruelty after allegedly shooting an eight-month-old puppy in the head in front of the 12-year-old child who had been calling for the family dog to come home. The puppy had crossed the street to Larry Allred’s property on Wednesday when he killed the puppy with his shotgun.
According to WbrcNews, Allred had called the puppy’s owners and told them to come and get their dog, and while Kaylee Wilkerson tried to grab the dog, Allred shot and killed Bae-Bae. The young German shepherd mix had been a birthday present to Lexi Wilkerson, 15.
Allred, 67, was arrested by Hinds County Sheriff’s officials. Lexi told reporters Allred showed no remorse for killing the puppy.
The family wants justice for Bae-Bae who had been a loving part of the family.
Rest in peace Bae-Bae.
