A family is grieving over the shooting death of their one-and-a-half-year-old Great Dane dog in Manawa, Wisconsin. A neighbor was arrested on Friday and faces a charge of animal cruelty resulting in the death of the dog.
According to the Wausau Pilot and Review, Waupaca County Sheriff Timothy Wilz announced the arrest of neighbor, Jeffrey Buttles in the animal mistreatment case.
On Sunday morning, the owners of the Great Dane, Justin and Autumn Beese, let their two dogs out to run around in the rural Waupaca County property. The family became concerned when only their black Labrador retriever returned 15 minutes later – where was Gypsy they questioned? Justin went out on his property to search for her, but with no results. For days, the family searched for their dog, and when they came upon paw prints, a trail of blood and tire tracks from a four-wheeler, they knew there had been foul play.
The Beeses say the Sheriff’s Office for Waupaca County has stated Buttles admitted to killing their dog and then throwing her body in the Little Wolf River – 12 miles from the family’s home. In Wisconsin, the only time it is legal to kill a dog is if the dog trespasses on someone’s property and attacks a person or livestock.
The family stated they have never spoken to Buttles. No motive has been discussed.

This vile monster certainly didn’t kill this beautiful pup because she attacked him or anything on his property. I highly doubt that and I would suspect the dog peed or pooped on the lawn and he shot her for that. The police need to use his gun to kill him. What a cretin to do something like this to your neighbor’s dog and then knowing that they are searching for her, you intentionally drove her dead body and threw it in the river. He not only needs to pay for this but must be put away from normal people. What a sick scum.
Well part of his name fits the savage maggot – butt. It is a POS butthead. Personally I think it was attempting to do “something else” with the dog and got mad when it couldn’t get its way and she tried to defend herself from its “invasion” of her body. So she was shot in revenge, then thrown in the river to cover up crime.
POS!!!! Too bad he won’t have the guts to trespass on their property, since, by law, they could shoot him dead for it. At least they’d be killing a lawbreaker, which is something this scumbag coward didn’t do when he murdered their innocent dog.

It’s unbelievable how cruel and despicable some humans can be killing someone’s pet like this. I don’t know what this dog could have done to deserve this fate but Jeffrey Buttles deserves the worst he can get as a punishment. My condolences to this family for their loss.
