In the Raleigh, North Carolina area, a neglected and starved dog had been scavenging for food when he was picked up by Animal Control. The local shelter wanted assistance with the very friendly dog; her emaciated body with every rib showing through her short coat deemed an emergency.
Volunteer and animal advocate, Wendy May, for Adoption Option Dog Rescue helped to arrange the details for this young dog who seemed to have lived in a small space her entire life.
“She seems to be young. I did go visit her after work. I brought her a bed and a toy. She is an absolute sweetheart. She played with me and gave me kisses. The forgiveness of animals is amazing,” Wendy posted on her Facebook page.
The dog is currently at the Capital Boulevard Animal Hospital in Raleigh. She is expected to remain at the veterinary hospital until Tuesday when she will be temporarily cared for at her new foster home.

That’s because they are “angel dogs”. I don’t think humans could EVER be as forgiving as dogs are!
