More than 40 “distressed” pets were removed from a woman’s home in Lehigh Acres, Florida. As reported by WINK News, 62-year-old Luuly Quang is facing dozens of charges after the authorities found 28 dogs and 13 cats inside of her residence. Conditions in the home have been described as “deplorable.”

Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office visited Quang’s residence on the 6100 block of Higgins Avenue, Fort Myers, on Tuesday morning – the house was in poor condition, covered in urine and feces.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 28 Maltese dogs were taken to Lee County Domestic Animal Services. Quang was taken to jail and then released on bond. She is facing 28 counts of F.S.S. 828.12(1) Conservation-Animals Torment, Deprive, Mutilate or Kill and one count of F.S.S. 843.02 Resisting Officer without violence.
