In Taunton, England, authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver who reportedly baited sea gulls before “deliberately running them down on Tuesday.” The RSPCA states the driver placed chips in the roadway to eat and waited to strike them with his vehicle.

According to the Somerset Live, witnesses reported seeing a gold Volkswagen Caddy with a disabled driver side sticker on Canon Street on Tuesday. The man placed the chips on the road, and as the gulls landed to eat, the man drove towards them leaving some seriously injured and others dead. Five gulls died as a result of the collision. The helpless birds were left with broken wings and horrendous injuries.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA, who is conducting the investigation, described it as “an unacceptable and intentional cruel way to treat animals.”

Wild birds are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. It is illegal to kill or injure wild birds or interfere with their nests or eggs without a special license. The offender could spend six months in imprison and be fined.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RSPCA at 0300 123 8018. Be the voices for those who cannot speak. Find this person and let justice prevail.

I have seen this cruelty ALL TOO OFTEN! Please be in the lookout–I’ve seen kids luring birds with food and then shooting them with rubberbands! I won’t talk about what happened the last time I caught a kid doing this …

I don’t like seagulls but I would never hurt one……. RIP birds. Your lives mattered. You did NOT deserve to be murdered as entertainment for this POS…….
This POS is mentally ill and needs professional help…… he might “graduate to people”……
He already has a reserved spot in Hell where he will burn forever for his cruelty…..
