When the breeder of a Mastiff wanted an unhealthy puppy to be euthanized because she wasn’t adoptable, a Good Samaritan stepped up and offered to help. The puppy, now named Pixie, (aka Hazel) made her way to the Lincoln County Humane Society Wisconsin.

On Thursday, the rescue group posted Pixie’s photos and are providing the veterinarian care and support she needs.

“She arrived with “cherry eyes,” a pronounced limp, a urinary tract infection, and an upper respiratory issue. We were told Pixie is a Mastiff so she will grow into a big girl! Pixie’s cherry eyes have already been repaired but she still has a lot of hurdles to face before she’s healthy. We are hoping to have an x-ray done on her leg.”

If  interested in sponsoring her upcoming medical care, this link will take you to an online option – https://www.furrypets.com/2012/donate.php Otherwise a check can be mailed to 310 N. Memorial Drive Merrill Wi 54452.

Pixie is not available for adoption at this time. You can follow her progress on Facebook by clicking here.
