The Florida man who fatally beat a famous flamingo is dead after being hit by a truck. As reported by Fox 13 News, 48-year-old Joseph Carrao died after a truck struck him in the early morning hours on June 5. Carrao was walking across State Road 50, near his Orlando home, when an F150 hit him – the truck driver wasn’t hurt and was not cited.
Several years ago, Carrao attacked Pinky, a 19-year-old Chilean Flamingo at Busch Gardens – the bird had to be humanely euthanized because of her injuries. After Pinky’s death, news was released that Carrao had also killed two of his neighbor’s dogs in 2013.
Carrao had been deemed unfit to stand trial in the Pinky cruelty case, but WTSP News reported that he was declared fit for trail in March 2019. Animal lovers were hopeful that Carrao would have to pay for his despicable crime.
