Update 11/5/19: As reported by Mlive.com, Nella has been found. A resident found the missing dog and contacted her owner with information on the dog’s identification tag. Nella was injured and treated at a veterinarian before being returned to her owner.
A Michigan man is facing charges for allegedly torturing and killing his roommate’s dog. As reported by WXYZ News, 27-year-old Andrea Biondo is believed to have killed his roommate’s 10-pound Havanese, Nella – though the dog’s body has not been found, there is evidence pointing to a brutal end for the small dog.
Nella’s owner contacted the police on October 30 after discovering that her dog was missing. She told the authorities that she suspected foul play after finding the dog’s crate damaged, and signs of blood and fur around the home.
Investigators were able to obtain surveillance video and it showed Biondo carrying the small dog by her neck out of the residence – the man was also observed putting a hammer and a backpack into his car before leaving. The man accused of killing Nella claims that she simply ran away.
The authorities found enough evidence to arrest him and now Biondo is facing charges for second-degree killing and torturing of an animal, in addition to possession of controlled substances after the police found him to be in possession of heroin and Suboxone.
Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith stated:
“This type of brutality towards animals is exactly why we started our Task Force, P.A.W.S. Our Office has authorized the most serious charges against this defendant, and will do everything in our power to ensure justice for Nella.”

My sincere condolences to this woman for her loss of little Nella, I hope and pray she has kicked this POS to the curb, if he could do this to her innocent little dog, what will he do to her! There is no punishment harsh enough to get justice for this little dog, we can only hope that when his time is done he rots in Hell!
