A North Carolina man has been charged for allegedly starving a German shepherd puppy to death. On Thursday, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office released information about the animal cruelty case involving a black German shepherd puppy.
The authorities identified 67-year-old Eddie Ray Bryant, of 190 Frank Alice Drive Cove City, as the man responsible for the puppy’s death. Bryant is facing a felony charge of “kill animal by starvation” and failure to vaccinate for rabies.
According to WITN News the authorities also found four dead chickens and another deceased puppy at Bryant’s residence. Bryant was arrested on Monday but he has already bonded out of jail.

If this SOB has bonded out of jail his bond was set WAY too low. When is the judicial system going to begin to take animal cruelty seriously? His bond should have been set so high it would have taken everything he has to come up with the money for bail/bond. We can only hope that when he is sentenced the judge will really stick it to him good and let him spend years in prison for such a henious crime. Rot behind bars low-life scumbag.
