A Wisconsin man has been arrested for killing a dog with a roofing hammer. As reported by Channel 3000 News, 31-year-old Brandon Shearer, or Portage, admitted to the authorities that he had killed the dog for peeing and pooping inside of a residence.
Officers responded to the Oakwood Estates trailer park on Saturday after a woman called to report that an angry man, identified by the caller as Brandon Shearer, was inside of her home, and had killed her dog for messing in the house. Deputies met Shearer at the residence and he led them outside to the deceased dog’s body – he admitted that he had hit the dog multiple times in the head with a hammer.
The accused dog killer was arrested on multiple charges, including mistreatment of an animal causing death, disorderly conduct, domestic abuse and theft of movable property.
