A man in Scottsdale, Arizona, is accused of stabbing a service dog over 100 times. As reported by ABC 15 News, the four-year-old golden retriever was allegedly killed by 27-year-old Jacob Bushkin.
The accused killer is the one who reached out to family members to let them know that his service dog, named Cub, was dead. Family members went to Bushkin’s home on Monday and found the dog’s body in the trash – the body was taken to a veterinarian who discovered multiple stab wounds. The veterinarian reported the situation to the local authorities, and the Arizona Humane Society.
During a necropsy on the dog’s body, over 100 stab wounds were found. Bushkin was arrested on Thursday after a search warrant was obtained and evidence of the crime was found inside of his home. He is facing two felony charges for animal cruelty and killing a service animal.
