“Maddie” and “Addie” are emotionally falling apart at the Harris County Animal Shelter. Maddie has pushed her way into a corner and sits with her back towards everyone barely acknowledging the video-grapher working hard to bring attention to her plight.

A volunteer tells their story.

“Just watching these poor girls is enough to make you cry! Neither one is handling this environment well at all, but “Maddie” is just falling apart. She has put herself in the corner and barely looks at the videographer. You can tell how dejected and sad she is just by looking at her. “Addie” is watching people go by, but she’s hunkered down because she’s scared too. Who knows what these poor sisters have been through.”

Maddie and Addie are one-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mixes. Both are heart worm negative and are on the smaller size weighing approximately 30 pounds each. The dogs were picked up by Animal Control in the 77070 zip code on August 6. Does anyone recognize these two young dogs?
