In Alloa, Scotland, a loyal dog died 15-minutes after his beloved owner passed away from brain cancer after battling the disease for eight years. Stuart Hutchinson, 25, died on August 11.
In a strange and heartbreaking twist of fate, Stuart’s father-in-law noticed that the French bulldog, Nero appeared to be ill. They rushed the dog to the veterinarian and discovered he had a rupture in his spine. Nero died at the animal hospital just minutes after his devoted owner Stuart passed away.
According to the Mirror, Hutchinson’s health had taken a turn for the worse in June despite trying surgery and chemotherapy. He made the decision to move into his mother’s home to enjoy his final weeks with his wife Danielle.
“Stuart died about 1:15 p.m. that day, and Nero died roughly 15 minutes later,” Stuart’s mother stated. “He had three dogs, but him and Nero were like one man and his dog. Nero was the dog which was always with him.”
Rest in peace Stuart and Nero.
