‘Libby’ medical plea from shelter for help of old spine fracture

Libby (aka Izzy) is a 10-year-old female tan Chihuahua with the saddest look on her face. She arrived at Carson Animal Care with what appears to be an old spine fracture at L4-L5, C3 and C4. She is unable to move her back legs as of this time.

In order to help Libby, the shelter had provided medication with the hope some function of her back legs will occur, however she needs more specialized care than the shelter is able to provide.

“Izzy will be rechecked for response to medication Thursday 9/26 and may be euthanized,” the shelter wrote.
