Update 8/16/19: Max has been rescued – safely out of the building!! Now, a senior service dog is in desperate need of help after his owner, a Vietnam Veteran, died. Learn more about his story here.

The last call has been issued for a seven-year-old dog who was surrendered to the Riverside County Animal Control – Riverside Shelter on July 16. The dog, dubbed Max, has been sitting at the animal control agency for nearly a month with little to no interest and now he is on the “list” of dogs who can be put down at any time.

Update: 8/8/19 🚨MAX IS NOW ON EUTHANASIA LIST! 😥He can be euthanized anytime without notice!! If you can save him please contact the shelter immediately! Please don’t just like this post, please share it!🚨

Max didn’t ask to be locked away. Max didn’t ask for his home and family to disappear. And Max most certainly doesn’t want to die. Please do your part to save this dog’s life by taking a moment to network his adoption information.

Is Max still alive. This totally sucks knowing he may be gone anytime, if not already. If I had money to fly him in to RDU Raleigh NC. I take him. Please someone save this baby, my heart breaks.
