A Kentucky woman was arrested and is facing charges for allegedly dragging a dog with a moving car. According to multiple sources, 60-year-old Jennifer Morris not only dragged the dog, causing serious injuries, but allegedly tied the wounded dog to a sign after being confronted about the cruel act.
On Monday, Morris was observed dragging the dog with her vehicle near Paducah Tilghman High School. By the time that the police arrived, Morris had pulled into a fast food restaurant parking lot, and she was out of her vehicle, arguing with angry bystanders.
Morris allegedly tied the injured dog to a sign post after pulling into the fast food restaurant parking lot – according to the police, the woman had been arguing with a passenger before the dog dragging incident took place. The dog was taken to a veterinarian for treatment; the condition of the dog is not known.
Morris is facing multiple charges, including second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree cruelty to animals. As reported by Kentucky.com, Morris has prior criminal convictions.
