An inmate, believed to be responsible for the death of a rescue agency’s dog who was participating in a prison training program, has been indicted. According to Fox 19 News, inmate Benjamin Holliday is being charged for the August 25 death of Evie, a dog who was participating in a program at the Warren Correctional institution.
The dog’s death
Evie, who was described as “very sweet,” died from blunt force trauma – she was discovered deceased in a cell by handlers. A necrospy performed on the dog revealed she died from blunt force trauma to her abdomen causing liver hemorrhage.
Meg Melampy, the President of Joseph’s Legacy, said:
We got a nasty person if you can even call them a person. And I can’t even believe, you know, I mean she’s an amazing dog… you know, not that it’s ever OK, but Evie? I mean she was so sweet.
The rescue group removed all of their dogs from the prison training program following Evie’s violent death. The man believed to be responsible for Evie’s death has been transferred to the Madison Correctional Institute.

Hopefully, someone will do the world a favor and beat HIM to death!!! This program needs to END if the innocent defenseless dogs CANNOT BE PROTECTED!
Hate filled loser. I’m glad they found out who did it. Unfortunately that won’t bring back Evie or make any sense of the killing. Hope he gets a good five years tacked on to his sentence.
I guess if they are going to have a prison training program they better screen their participants better. This POS should nvever have been allowed near an animal, So he’s been indicted, will they actually punish him?

The prison should do the world a favor and beat these vile monster with a blunt instrument until all his organs rupture and leave him to bleed to death. To kill a sweet dog like this just shows that some inmates have no rehabilitation or souls and deserve nothing more than immediate executions.
