A man married to a dog groomer and pet sitter is facing charges for allegedly going on a dog killing spree this month. As reported by ABC 13 News, Theresa Taylor’s husband, Philip Taylor, allegedly shot and killed four dogs, including one dog who was being boarded at the couple’s Williams County, Ohio, home.
Taylor told the news agency that her husband threatened to kill her last weekend, so she left. He proceeded to threaten the dogs who were still at the home; she said:
He just kept texting me and telling me that he was killing my dogs and if I wanted to save them I’d have to come back and let him take me,”
The dogs slain in the violent incident include Princess, Topaz, Skylar and a client’s dog named Lilly. Lilly belonged to the Beck family, who have expressed dismay that they were not made aware of the couple’s marital problems.
Taylor was arrested and released. He has been ordered to turn over his guns and stay away from his wife. He is facing a felony cruelty to companion animals charge for the deadly killings.
