Hospice foster needed for cancer stricken dog
Spread the love

A New York animal rescue organization is seeking a loving foster home for a cancer-stricken dog. The Strong Island Animal Rescue League reached out for help on Monday:

This beautiful boy needs a hospice foster who can love and care for him for the rest of his life.
He was found recently as a stray and no one came to claim him. A cytology was performed and the mass came back as aggressive spindle cell carcinoma (cancer).

According to the rescue group, this dog rocked his behavior assessment. The animal welfare agency writes:

He passed every behavioral test done on him, proving to be great with cats, dogs and children.

A man named James wrote about finding this pup:

I found this good boy a few weeks ago running around the highway. He was most likely left at the shelter during the night as he was only down the block. Such a sweet, well mannered dog.

Will you help? If you are interested in providing a loving last home for this dog, please reach out to the rescue agency on Facebook via messenger.

  1. I understand, you find out your dog has cancer and the cost is going to make you go broke. So dump them at the shelter in the middle of the night and hope for the best. You can at least have the guts to leave your pet during working hours so you KNOW they will be safe. Prayers this dog finds a loving home to live out the rest of his life he didn’t deserve to be discarded like yesterday’s trash!
