A beautiful, homeless senior German shepherd is at risk of being put down at any moment at a California animal control agency. The eight-year-old shepherd, named Simba, has been at the Hesperia Animal Shelter since May 14 and he is now listed as a “code red,” which means that his life could be cut short at any given moment.

On Tuesday, Simba’s Petharbor listing reads:

Red Status
Animals marked status red are in imminent need for rescue/adoption and in danger of being euthanized if not picked up by a rescue/adopter. Contact the rescue coordinator during business hours immediately to facilitate pickup if you are interested in a red tagged animal.

Simba is a senior dog, but he still has life to live…he deserves to be in a home, with an adoring owner, not locked away waiting to die. Please help save Simba’s life by sharing this article with his adoption information. Networking (and fostering!!) saves lives.
