Dog with cancer is alone at shelter

Hepburn has cancer, but no home or family to help him

A seven-year-old dog named Hepburn was recently diagnosed with cancer…but the homeless dog is stuck at a Florida animal shelter with no family to care for him. A social media post has been made on Hepburn’s behalf:

Meet Hepburn. A wonderful and happy dog who greets everyone he meets. He has a great personality but we noticed he has a lump on the back of his leg. He was recently taken to a vet and they found out he has CANCER. It’s very sad for this gorgeous dog but now he is looking for a hospice home, foster or a rescue that can help him find that.

According to the Friends of Broward County Animals, Hepburn is getting “more quiet,” and spending more time sleeping in his lonely kennel run at the Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division – Ft. Lauderdale facility, where he has been held since April.

Helping Hepburn

Hepburn longs for love, but he is stuck in a kennel run with no home or family of his home. Please help him out by sharing this article! Hepburn should be resting on a comfy bed and showered with love – not sitting alone in the shelter.

HEPBURN – ID#A2016626 NEEDS YOU!!!Meet Hepburn. A wonderful and happy dog who greets everyone he meets. He has a great personality but we noticed he has a lump on the back of his leg. He was recently taken to a vet and they found out he has CANCER. It's very sad for this gorgeous dog but now he is looking for a hospice home, foster or a rescue that can help him find that. The shelter is not an ideal place for Hepburn who had been making the most of his shelter life but we noticed him more quiet and just sleeps a lot which is great but would be even better if he is in a comfy home with a comfy bed to live out his life. Shelter thinks he's about 7 years old and has been at the shelter since Apr 24, 2019 so it's time to help this handsome dog find a place to just call his own. Please help Hepburn find a little happiness in his life. For more information contact rescue@broward.org. Broward County Animal Care and Adoption2400 SW 42nd St. Fort Lauderdale Florida 33312
